Club History and Organisation
Club History
The club was formed in 2002 by a small group who wanted to join a caravan club but could not get membership as other club's books were full. With the help of existing clubs, a new club was formed and named Hunter Coastal Caravan and Camping Club Inc.
We now have 23 members from the Hunter Valley and Central Coast of NSW.
Club Purpose and Structure
The purpose of the club is to enable anyone interested in the caravan/camping lifestyle to come together to have fun, share experiences and get to know new friends.
The club is an incorporated association which is non-profit and exists for the benefit of its members.
Club Members
There are no restrictions on the age or work status of members. Families with children are encouraged to join and participate in the activities. The emphasis is on having fun and enjoying the lifestyle no matter how much time you can allocate.
Likewise there are no restrictions on the type of rig you wish to use. Members may choose tents, swags, campers, caravans, motorhomes, 5th wheelers or other variants to suit their particular requirements.
Meetings and Rallies
Rallies are held monthly with an annual roving rally which extends for up to a week beyond the normal weekend rally for the Easter period.
Meetings are held on the Saturday of the monthly rally and members who are unable to attend the rally are encouraged to come for a day and attend the club meeting.
The club is a member of the NSW Association of Caravan Clubs and two delegates from the club attend the monthly State association meetings. The State association holds an annual rally where clubs across the state are invited to attend.
